What we do

Everything the garden needs, from one team.

We handle the whole build ourselves — groundwork, paving, structures, planting and lighting — so there is one number to ring and one team on site.

Porcelain patios & paving

Large-format porcelain and natural stone laid on a proper sub-base, with the falls set so water runs away from the house, not toward it.

Artificial lawn & turfing

Artificial grass laid over a prepared, free-draining base so it stays flat and usable all year — or real turf where you'd rather have it.

  • Artificial lawn, cut in around features
  • Turfing and new real lawns
  • Neat edges against paving and beds

Pergolas & garden rooms

Timber and oak-framed structures built on site — covered seating areas, slat screens and shelter that make the garden usable in Irish weather.

  • Pergolas over seating and dining areas
  • Cedar slat screens and privacy panels

Garden lighting

Lighting designed in as the garden is built, with cabling run before the paving goes down — so the garden still works after dark.

  • Wall, step and ground lighting
  • Cabling laid in during construction
  • Lighting worked into walls and structures

Steps, stonework & driveways

Cut granite steps, stone-clad walls and raised beds, block-paved driveways, fencing and gates — the hard structure the rest of the garden sits on.

One garden, start to finish

From waist-high weeds to a finished garden.

A real job in a new-build back garden, photographed by us at every stage — the same fence, the same house, three very different gardens.

The garden before work began, filled with waist-high weeds and rough ground
Before

Waist-high and unusable

Handed over as rough ground and left to go over. Weeds to the top of the fence, a strip of builder's paving and nothing anyone could use.

The same garden mid-build, with membrane, compacted hardcore base and a new block retaining wall
During

The part nobody sees

Cleared out, dug down, membrane laid and hardcore compacted, with the block retaining wall built before a single slab goes down. This is where a garden is won or lost.

The finished garden: large-format porcelain paving, artificial lawn and a stone-clad raised planter
After

Finished and usable

Large-format porcelain wrapping the house, artificial lawn cut in around the manholes, and a stone-clad raised planter along the back fence.

The same job, down the side

Even the side return got done properly.

The narrow strip beside the house is usually where a job gets skimped. Here the weed-grown builder's paving came out and porcelain went down to match the rest of the garden, with charcoal edging holding the artificial lawn.

Before & after

Worn-out concrete steps, rebuilt in silver granite.

Drag the handle across to see the same flight of steps before and after.

The steps before work: cracked, worn concrete and crumbling brick treads The same steps after work: uniform silver granite treads with bullnose edges Before After
The problem

Years of weather had broken up the original concrete and brick treads. The nosings had crumbled away and the run had gone uneven underfoot.

What we did

Stripped the old treads back, levelled and re-bedded each step, then faced the whole flight in cut silver granite with bullnose front edges.

The material

Bullnose silver granite supplied by McMonagle Stone — hard-wearing, even in colour, and it keeps its grip in the wet.

After dark

A garden you can still see at nine o’clock.

Lighting is designed in from the start, with cable runs laid before the paving goes down. Walls, steps and planting get picked out, so the garden is worth looking at from indoors on a winter evening — not just in July.

Questions

Before you call.

Anything else, just ask — we’re happy to talk a job through on the phone.

No. Site surveys, consultations and quotes are free, and there is no obligation to go ahead once you have the price.

We are based at Haddington Hill in Lisburn and work throughout the Lisburn and Belfast areas. If you are just outside, ring and ask — we will tell you straight away whether we can get to you.

Yes — we carry full public liability insurance and are happy to confirm the details before work starts.

It depends on the garden and how you want to use it. Artificial lawn suits shaded, wet or heavily used gardens where real grass turns to mud, and it stays usable all year. Real turf is the cheaper install and the better choice if you want a living lawn. We lay both, and we will tell you honestly which one suits your ground when we survey it.

Yes. Our work runs from a complete garden overhaul with patio, paving, lighting and a water feature, right down to a single set of steps or a garden tidy-up.

It depends on what is already booked in and on the weather, since most of our work is outdoors. We will give you a realistic start date with your quote rather than a date we cannot keep. We also work flexible hours to fit around your household.
